Dyed the best shade of fresh green, I love this color!
To create this modern table runner I begin with washing, mordanting and dying the fabric a base color. Next, for the first layer of pattern, the fabric is dyed with osage and then ferrous acetate, incorporating a clamp-resist (shibori) technique. When the fabric is dry, I hand block print to add another layer of surface design and then set the printing. Next, I hand stitch, sew the hem by machine, and press to finish.
fabric: linen
A medium weight variegated linen that is textured and has a slight slub
care: hand wash with mild shampoo, air dry and steam press
size: 14" x 90"
notes: keep hand dyed fabrics out of direct sunlight.
