This scarf will look equally great dressed up with a black suit or worn casually with jeans and a t-shirt.
To create this scarf I began with cutting and washing the fabric. The next steps include tannin, mordant and dying the fabric a base color. For the block printed pattern, I used thickened plant dyes and mordants. After drying, the scarf is steamed, set and hand hemmed.

fabric: ramie, a natural fiber first cultivated in Eastern Asia, is one of the oldest fibers in the world. Cultivated for more than 5000 years, Ramie, also know as China grass, grass linen, and grasscloth, is similar to linen, but has a bit of a crispness and soft drape.
hand dyed with oak galls and block printed. Note: this scarf is hand hemmed.
